Directives and laws in Europe are being implemented in Member States and at  the European Union parliamentary level without due consideration of or communication with the Ayurvedic community. 
The EUAA will lobby on behalf of the Ayurvedic community and against restrictions imposed upon it.
The EUAA supports the fundamental right of free choice of therapy and promotes Ayurveda as a natural, traditional, diagnostic and therapeutic system for the improvement of health and well-being of the individual and of society. 
The EUAA supports the application of Ayurveda in its completeness thus contributing to an optimization of the health systems in the European countries and relieving their health budgets.
The EUAA recognises the need to create education standards for Ayurvedic practitioners and therapists to practice safely and competently and will develop curriculum suitable to safeguard the public. 
The EUAA is an umbrella for National Organisations, Institutes, NGO’s and other Associations connected to Ayurveda. 

The EUAA has the Following Objectives:
To promote Ayurveda as a traditional holistic medicine system. 
To propagate  Ayurveda in Europe and to safeguard Ayurveda’s authenticity.  
To found an information organ to promote the dissemination of educational and informative material. 
To be the focal point for PR in relation to Ayurveda issues arising in the media in a responsive and proactive way. 
To communicate with and participate in Institutions and organisations throughout the world, dedicated to the promotion and preservation of Ayurveda so long as they are not in conflict with the articles of association.
To develop Educational standards recognised by medical associations and government health services
To promote, review and define the guidelines of Ayurveda teachings, in accordance with ancient wisdom, respecting diversity within the tradition. 
To promote scientific research in all fields of Ayurveda.
To facilitate greater understanding and experience of the principles of Ayurveda within the modern world. 
To support National Ayurveda organisations in Europe.
To establish quality standards for Ayurvedic products to ensure public safety and lobby for these standards to be accepted by EU regulatory authorities.
